Arysta LifeScience selected Fort Storage Warehousing and Distribution (Fort) to manage all their warehousing and logistics requirements for their Canadian customers. Arysta stores inventory in all four Fort locations, meeting the next-day delivery requirements of Arysta customers across the country, from British Columbia to New Brunswick.

Arysta LifeScience manufactures and distributes a wide range of chemicals including insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides for agricultural use in Canada, in addition to providing warehousing and delivery services. In 2005 Arysta decided to consolidate their warehousing and transportation logistics with Fort, reducing their total number of partners from four to one. Arysta today stores approximately 70 truckloads of inventory with Fort annually across Fort’s four Canadian locations in Airdrie AB, Saskatoon SK, Winnipeg MB, and Guelph ON.

Arysta has enjoyed improved inventory accuracy as a result of consolidating their inventory with Fort and using Fort’s barcode system for inventory receipt and management. They were able to negotiate competitive storage rates based on total inventory volumes, resulting in decreased costs. Arysta also enjoys improved payables management, receiving single consolidated invoices for storage and logistics from each location monthly. Finally, Fort responds to Arysta’s on-demand customer orders, guaranteeing next-day delivery for the majority of their Canadian customers.
