Safety, Health & Enivronment

The highest priority in the conduct of our business is safety and environmental protection. Our policy statement on Safety, Health and Environment outlines our commitment to this priority.

Safe warehousing and handling of haz-mat (hazardous materials) requires very specialized facilities and training both of which we take very seriously.

To this end we

• design our facilities and systems to store and handle haz-mat in a safe manner
• have regular emergency response training sessions with local authorities
• have employee training sessions
• are audited on a continuous basis by independent safety auditors
• fully support and comply with the rigorous warehousing standards as set forth by the Agricultural Warehousing Standards Association (AWSA). In many instances these standards exceed those required by provincial authorities.
• adhere to the Code for Responsible Distribution belonging to the Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors (CACD) and we embrace the Responsible Care program of the Canadian Chemical Producers (CCPA).
